Is it actually free?
Yes. The Free plan has no time limit. 5 GB, 5 members, 50 recordings — forever. No card, no automatic upgrade to paid.
What happens when we hit the limit?
Nothing dramatic — we tell you the next upload won't fit until you delete an old one or upgrade. Storage counts everything we keep for you: originals and processed audio. Everything already there stays accessible.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. The web app works on iOS and Android. You can upload straight from the voice memo app in one tap.
Is Bandzeen a DAW?
No, and deliberately. It's for everything around the DAW: rehearsals, comments, calendar, sharing. When you go to the studio, you export the final file to Logic / Ableton / Reaper.
What happens to the recordings if I leave the band?
The library belongs to the band, not an individual. When you leave, the band keeps every recording and comment. Download anything you want to keep before you go.
What happens to my original files?
Free keeps AAC 256k and deletes the original after processing. Band and Pro keep it for download. Upgrading doesn't bring back originals that were already deleted, so if a file matters, upgrade before you upload it. Stem ZIPs are kept on every plan.
How does offline listening work?
On Pro and during any trial, save a recording to your device and it plays without a connection until your paid period or trial ends. Go online to renew it. Multi-track recordings can't be saved offline.
